But at the core of every Nathan For You plan is a perfectly engineered awkward situation on which the segment hinges, and in this case it occurs when Fielder hires a menacing looking “daddy” off Craigslist, introduces him to the next woman and informs her that he’s been given all of her personal information as a precautionary measure.

The series is produced by Doozer in association with Warner Bros.

Last week the Internet blew up with praise for the much-anticipated “Dumb Starbucks” episode of Nathan For You’s second season.

From Bill Lawrence ("Scrubs," "Spin City," "Cougar Town," "Clone High") and Adam Sztykiel ("Due Date," "Made of Honor"), "Undateable" is a comedy series about a group of close-knit friends living in Detroit, helping each other figure out their lives.

"Undateable" centers around mismatched roommates Danny Burton (Chris D’Elia, "Whitney") and Justin Kearney (Brent Morin) and their group of oddball friends who hang out at Justin’s unsuccessful bar.
